Ruling by executive action… to kill firearms ownership in the US -1

So, just in the last three weeks we have three instances that show how a anti-gun administration will attempt to bring down the firearms in the US.

A) ITAR – ruling
Gunsmiths and those selling commercial ammo are now required to pay a $2250 annual fee to the government due the International Traffic in Arms Regulation. According to ATF, all gunsmiths are required to do this, regardless of the type or amount of work done.  The regulation clearly states that anyone “engaged in the business” of gunsmithing or dealing in commercial ammunition also need to register. This will put 80% of gunsmiths out of business and give at least reason to arrest and charge any hobby-home gunsmith, too.

Previously, most small gunsmithing operations that did not export firearms were NOT subject to AECA/ITAR registration requirements. Now, by virtue of a DDTC “Guidance” ruling issued 7/22/2016, ordinary gunsmiths might be required to register as a manufacturer simply because they thread a muzzle or cut a chamber.
